Pentair Launches “Innovation Lab” Social Media Website

 

 

Pentair Water Pool and Spa® has launched an exciting new social media site that doesn’t just follow the trends reflected by the rise of Facebook and Twitter, it sets a new direction for communication in and about the swimming pool and spa industry.

 

The Innovation Lab represents a unified online strategy that leverages today’s online conversations, provides a forum for both customers and pool industry professionals to express their views, and generates fresh enthusiasm for Pentair Water Pool and Spa® throughout the online space.

 

“The Innovation Lab is much more than a social network. This is a direct channel to some of the best minds in our industry,” said Carlos Del Amo, vice president of marketing. “For pool owners, this is a new way to experience the pool lifestyle, a unique blend of their digital and backyard playgrounds. Meanwhile, the trade is going to gain a clearer sense of its customers’ opinions, and we gain a new opportunity to learn how we can best serve the trade.”

 

The Innovation Lab website provides an open forum, giving participants the ability to learn, share, converse, and be entertained. Members can share their successes and questions by participating in a “Poolside Chat,” commenting on blogs, joining a discussion group, or starting a group.

 

Innovation Lab members can share videos, photos, and, most importantly, ideas. Pool professionals can gain fresh perspectives of what customers and prospective customers value most. And pool owners can learn more about design trends, new products, poolside recipes, and contests. They can also have conversations with other pool owners that will make the site a focus of attention from interested consumers.

 

In addition, the Innovation Lab will host an interactive community of specific advisory groups that represent a cross-sampling of pool professionals, customers and other important voices. These groups, known as Pentair Advisory Councils or PACs, hold online meetings on a continuing basis, sharing their candid opinions under the guidance of trained community leaders.
