Permanent aluminum-frame pool and spa enclosures

Garden Prairie's rigid-frame pool and spa enclosures have polycarbonate insulated light-transmitting roof panels, which collect passive solar energy to heat the air in the room and the water in the pool. They have a similar effect of a greenhouse and block out wind and other elements. This also reduces water evaporation and chemical loss. Since the enclosure blocks most debris from entering the pool, the pool cleaner runs less frequently. To cool down the structure during warmer months, owners can opt for either a manual-opening roof or an automatic one, which uses a cost-efficient, low-voltage motor.

While some manufacturers require raw materials to be delivered by separate vendors, each enclosure by Garden Prairie is assembled on the company's 3-acre site. Most of its enclosures fit on one truck when delivered to the homeowner and installed.

The enclosures are built to last many years, which reduces the amount of materials that might be used for repairs. In fact, one of its superstructures has been standing since 1969. Over time, they may require new roof glazing and sliding glass doors. Any structures that are taken down are resold as a remanufactured product.
